When we lived in San Jose I had a wonderful friend across the street. Her name was Karol and she also had four handsome sons (two when I met her, just like me)! That first year we were there she some how figured out that I really like German Chocolate Cake. So, she surprised me with a six-layer masterpiece! It was deeeelicious!
So, a few evenings ago I asked Glenn what kind of cake he would like for his birthday. I figured he'd say "angel food" like he usually does. But he said, "Remember that cake that has six layers..." (Being the good wife that I am)... I found the recipe and tried my luck. I had never made it - hoping it would turn out. And - Wa La! Move over Martha Stewart!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GLENN!

Since Grandma and Grandpa were busy on the party night, they stopped by today to help us polish it off. If I told you how much butter and how many eggs were in it... you'd probably fall over. But, man was it good!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GLENN!
