Winding Down...

Nick's gymnastic season is coming to an end. It has been fun to watch video and see him in action! He truly loves the sport! He has one more meet, the North Texas State Meet in a few weeks. (There is also a South Texas State Meet but at Level 4 the two will not compete together.)

Last weekend we all got to see Nick participate in Garland, Texas. Eagle Gymnastics placed 1st in Level 4 (ages 6 & 7). Nick was able to place 1st in the Rings (15.7) and in the Parallel Bars (15.6). He placed 2nd in the Vault (15.25), 7th in the Floor Routine (14.4), Pommel Horse/Mushroom (13.3) and High Bar (14.7). He was 3rd in the All-Around. He is continuing to do well, but we are meeting more and more competition as we continue to compete! (This is a good thing.)

I had to attach his Rings Routine. I have never seen him hold his Back Lever (that's where it looks like he's flying thru the sky) for sooooooo long - it's amazing! I asked him what he was waiting for (and thinking about at that time) and he said, "Mom, I was waiting to hear you shout and cheer for me!" (Little did he know I was biting my nails and just hoping he could land without wiping out.) He makes it look so easy!
